Plant Highlights

Poison Oak is a fast spreading, sun loving shrub. It grows to about 5 to 7 ft high and can spread both via aerial suckers and by climbing up tress. The leaves are three pointed and have serrated edges on the leaf edges. The plant is a beneficial shrub for wildlife, but is dangerous for humans, as the leaves are poisonous and can cause a very itchy rash to develop. The prefer full sun and need some water in the winter, to keep the leaves green.
