Our Plants

Moosa Creek grows California native plants for sustainable and wildlife friendly landscapes. We have a great selection and our plants are able to thrive in even the most difficult garden environments. Our California native plants are available at many retail locations throughout San Diego County.

We take pride in the plants we grow at Moosa Creek Nursery. Plants that pop instead of fizzle when their roots find California’s native soil. To learn more about our process for growing great plants, visit our growing system page.

Our California Native Plant Finder database is a great way to learn and to share with others. To search by name, simply type in all or part of the common name or botanical name. You can also browse by common name or botanical name or use our advanced search tool for selecting a wide variety of possible search criteria. For example, if you want to look for plants that bloom in the fall, have orange blossoms, and like shade, this is a great tool.

We encourage you to let us know your thoughts about our database and if you have experiences with specific plants to share that with others. Each plant has a comment section when you can post you thoughts and experiences with the various plants. If you have photos of each plant and wish to share them, we will add them to the database and put your name on the photo for credit.

The My Plant List tool saves your plant searches and allows you to use them later for ordering from a local plant nursery or requesting a quotation directly from Moosa Creek Nursery. You can also use My Plant List to print or share with a friend by email or other social networking and custom name up to 4 different lists.
