Plant Highlights

The Canyon Sunflower is an upright, branching perennial that lopves shade and moist, well-drained soils. The leaves are a tender and shaped like hearts, with fuzzy undersides and cerreated edges. The bright yellow flowers are spring and summer bloomers, with some into the fall and winter. The flowers are similar to dahlias and attract butterflies, bees, hummingbirds, and other pollinators. They prefer shaded oak and woodland areas near moist, sloped terrain, but are fairly drought tolerant, needing little summer water.
