Plant Highlights

A tall evergreen shrub with gray green leaves, and light gray to white bark. The flowers range from light blue to white. This lilac requires full sun and well-draining soil. It is most often used in revegetation projects, but would also be a good choice for hot, dry inland sites transitioning from more formal landscaping to the chaparral. It is unlikely to be happy in coastal settings, as it originates from the dry rocky slopes of the Sierra Nevada, and in mountains of southern California.
