Plant Highlights

This Ceanothus is beautiful in the spring with its multitudes of a gorgeous blue flowers. It can be found in large numbers and will color a whole hillside blue when it is in flower. It is a great shrub to plant in upland portions of gravelly, sandy soil especially areas like Ramona and Valley Center. The plant is truly gorgeous in the spring time. It is surprisingly tolerant of garden conditions, including clay soils and some summer watering. It can be used as a screen, or trained nto a small tree.
