Plant Highlights

The Giant Coreopsis has brilliant daisy type yellow flowers growing from thick, fleshy stems that are almost like tree trunks. The leaves are fine and delicate. It grows on the coast and in the Channel Islands and requires a sandy, well-draining soil.It is really drought tolerant and shouldn't be over watered. This plant provides a great point of interest in a coastal garden and can do well inland provided it is not over-watered and the soil drains well.
