Plant Highlights

This small deciduous tree has big showy white blossoms that create a stunning display every summer. It is usually multi-trunked with long, slim branches. This tree grows best in areas above 3000 ft and below 8000 ft. It also needs good drainage, rich soil, partial shade, and some supplemental water. In hotter areas you will need to ensure the tree trunk is fully shaded from the sun.dogwood was used in basket making, for making bows, as well as arrows, and was also used as a blood purifier, for strengthening lungs, and to help with stomach pain.
