Plant Highlights

This evergreen shrub is hardy and has 2" yellow flowers in the spring that show beautifully against the glaucous gray-green leaves. The Bush Poppy should be planted in full sun, with fast-draining soil. It will do well with no supplemental water after establishment and will grow quickly to 6' in the right conditions. It is a great plant where you need a tough yet beautiful shrub. Use for hedges, screens and as a backdrop in a dry garden.

I bought two of these through Louie's in Menifee. I took out one, because I thought it was dead. I should have left it...although it may appear dead in fall, in the spring it came to life with more growth and beautiful yellow flowers.
