This annual plant has lavender flowers that appear in the spring. It is an unique plant because it is often a plant found in areas recently disturbed by fire. This quality makes it a fairly easy to grow plant and a great option especially in areas that need replanting after a fire. The flowers are also exceptionally pretty and are very attractive to both hummingbirds and butterflies.
