Plant Highlights

The California Grape is a fast growing, climbing vine that does well as a hedge, with a fence or arbor, or a decent groundcover. The leaves are large and heart shaped, turning red in the fall. The yellowish flowers are liked by bees and set to produce dark red to blue berries. The vine prefers full sun and needs some summer water. This native variety needs monitoring for pierces disease, treatable with a "Bordeaux" mix
