This sedge has silvery green foliage that does very well in sandy soils. It is native to the coast and is commonly found growing in the dunes near the beach. For use in yards, having beach sand is a must and this sedge does better when is not spread out. With its gorgeous looking foliage it is a great option for bird gardens in coastal areas with sandy soils.
