Plant Highlights

California mugwort is a three foot perennial that has large aromatic leaves. It is found on stream banks, ditch banks, road cuts or other disturbed areas. It is primarily used in revegetation projects and requires moisture to look its best. Mugwort has the reputation of removing the ill effects of poison oak if you rub a leaf on the area as soon as possible. This plant has been used as a ceremonial plant in many Native American cultures, and also used to treat minor injuries or as a dream potentiator.
