Salvia dorrii, the purple sage, Dorr's sage, fleshy sage, mint sage, or tobacco sage, is a herbaceous perennial. It is native to mountain areas in the western United States southward to the Mojave Desert, growing in dry, well draining soils

Desert Sage is a showy late spring blooming native shrublet that grows to a compact 2-3 feet. It's fragrant silver foliage is adorned with deep blue flowers. Impervious to browsing deer and rabbits, it is a pollinator's delight attracting all types of bees.

Native to sand to decomposed granite, Desert Sage needs perfect drainage and no water once established. Perfect for a dry desert garden, a bird or butterfly garden.
