Plant Highlights

This medium sized Agave forms a perfectly symmetrical rosette of gray leaves. The stiff leaves have needlelike thorns at the tips and catclaw teeth along the edges so avoid planting this near walks or entryways. This would make a commanding accent for a corner planting or an unique container plant. It will flower yellow on the top of a 12' spike. This Agave clumps, is almost stemless, and grows in colonies. It will grow rapidly for 8 to 25 years, then flower and die. However, it is usually surrounded by pups to generate new plants.
